Claire Marcourt had been awake for hours and should have gone to bed. She should have disregarded the second bottle of white burgundy in the fridge and gone upstairs instead, emptying her wineglass in the sink. The 45-year-old, on the other hand, was nostalgic. She felt increasingly nostalgic as she drank more. She took a step outdoors after picking up the bottle. The night was warm, and the perfume of magnolias lingered on the sea breeze. Foamy waves crashed onto the peaceful beach just beyond her pool. Her swimming pool. Hidden Order would be very interesting to read.

Claire Mar court couldn’t comprehend how far one family could progress in a generation. Her mother had worked as a house cleaner on Sea Island. Claire now owned one and was in the running for one of the most influential jobs in the company. Claire’s career, her lovely husband and their three beautiful children, the Sea Island house with its magnificent oaks covered in Spanish moss, everything—it was devastating that her mother hadn’t lived to see it all.She would’ve been ecstatic. She hadn’t even seen Claire graduate from high school.Cancer had stolen her and left Claire with the growing concern that she, too, might one day be snatched from her family too soon. She strolled to the edge of the patio, pouring another glass and setting the bottle on the outdoor table.

She was going hysterical. She took a long sip and closed her eyes, her gaze fixed on the sea. She mused on how fortunate it was to be able to return to Georgia and escape the sirens and traffic of Manhattan as the waves rolled onto the beach. These days, the family doesn’t get down to Sea Island nearly enough. Everyone was so preoccupied. The strange part was that no one wanted to go once Paul and the kids arrived. She couldn’t say that she blamed them.Hidden Order by Brad Thor is very appealing.

For them, the island was not only a source of strength, but also a source of renewal. It was the only place they all felt completely at ease and secure. She was reminded of a poem about the area by Sidney Zanier called “The Marshes of Glynn” while she listened to the waves. Take courage from the place that God has blessed.which has always nourished you, and which is still there, and be comforted. Claire grinned and opened her eyes, and her budding melancholy washed away like a wave.

She needed to reflect on that poem and this location more frequently. Work had nearly devoured her, and things weren’t about to get any easier if things went the way she felt they were about to. She stood there for a minute, lost in her own thoughts, as she drained the rest of the wine from her glass and marveled at the majesty of the ocean. She was completely oblivious to the stranger who came out of the shadows onto her terrace.

The Two Minute Rule by Robert Crais is amazing novel.

He was strong and swift, slamming his gloved palm over her mouth. She felt a prick, almost as if she had been stung, before she realized what had happened. Her heart was hammering in her chest, which he could feel. What exactly is going on? In the solitude of her mind, she yelled. Why am I here? What is it that he desires? I’m not sure where he’s going me. It didn’t take long for her final query to be addressed.

She could see the flagstone path turn to sand as she looked down beyond the man’s dark trousers and heavy, black boots. He was going to the beach with her. What makes you want to go to the beach? Is he looking for a secluded location where he can do anything he wants to me? Claire began to discern the outline of something else a few hundred yards distant, and her pulse began to pound even harder. An inflatable grey Zodiac boat was towed onto the beach.

The Watchman by Robert Crais is quite amazing attraction to read.

Claire was terrified of open water, especially the open sea. It was one thing to have a beach house with a view of the ocean, but it was quite another to be out on the sea. Claire, on the other hand, had no say in what was about to happen. The man hauled the bow around and carried the boat into the ocean after laying her down inside the Zodiac. She could sense the moment it was lifted from the sand and floated.

She felt sick to her stomach and wanted to vomit……..
